Chiswick Rugby Club's fireworks at Dukes Meadows: Sat 7 Nov, doors 5.30pm, bonfire 6.30pm, display 7.30pm. Plus Richmond 1 Nov and Battersea 7 and 8 Nov.

Corrected 1 October 2026: this page first said there was no fireworks display in Chiswick. That was wrong. See the note at the foot of the page.

Updated 3 October: the rugby club has published its 2026 times (doors 5.30pm, fireworks 7.30pm), and Battersea Park has confirmed Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November with prices.

Bonfire night 2026 falls on Thursday 5 November. Chiswick’s display this year is Chiswick Rugby Club’s community fireworks at Dukes Meadows, W4, on Saturday 7 November: doors open at 5.30pm, the bonfire is lit at 6.30pm and the fireworks start at 7.30pm, according to the club’s 2026 notice.

The big free display at Chiswick Park ended in October 2024, and nothing on that scale has replaced it.

Here is the full picture: the rugby club’s night, what ended at Chiswick Park, what the council still runs, what has a confirmed date nearby, and when the missing details are likely to appear. Every fact below was checked against the organiser’s own published material, on 5 September 2026 and again on 3 October 2026.

Chiswick Rugby Club fireworks, Saturday 7 November

The club published its 2026 notice on 27 September. Chiswick Rugby Community Fireworks is on Saturday 7 November at the club, Dukes Meadows, Dan Mason Drive, W4 2SH:

  • 5.30pm, doors open
  • 6.30pm, bonfire lit
  • 7.30pm, fireworks
  • 8pm, live music, and the evening continues

It is run again with Maggie’s, the cancer charity, and ticket prices include a donation to Maggie’s of £2, or £3 on a family ticket. There are no physical tickets: you book under a name and give it at the gate. The club says last year’s night sold out and asks people to book now. It has not printed the ticket prices themselves on the notice, so we are not quoting a figure.

The club’s find us page says the nearest station is Barnes Bridge, across the river footbridge.

The Chiswick Park display is gone, and it is not coming back

For nearly twenty years the display that Chiswick meant by “the fireworks” was the one at Chiswick Business Park, the office campus by Gunnersbury station. It started in 2005, it was free, and by 2018 it was drawing crowds estimated at up to 30,000.

Enjoy Work, the company that runs the park, confirmed in October 2024 that it would not host it again. Its statement, reported by ChiswickW4 on 14 October 2024 and by the Hounslow Herald the following day, said it had been “forced to consider how fireworks sit against our ESG credentials”, citing perchlorates in the water and metallic compounds in the air, along with the weather, wildlife and the effect on the surrounding streets. The 2023 display had already been cancelled at the last minute in bad weather, and the park had been reviewing the event since.

Enjoy Work said it would put on a “more accessible and inclusive” end of year event instead. Two years on it has still not published what that is. The company’s own news page carries nothing about a 2026 replacement.

Hounslow Lights is the borough’s display, and it has no 2026 date

The council’s own event is Hounslow Lights at Lampton Park, off Lampton Road in Hounslow. It is free, it runs late afternoon into the evening, and it deliberately rolls Halloween, Diwali and bonfire night into one night, which is why it lands in late October rather than on the 5th.

Year Date Times
2024 Saturday 26 October 4pm to 9pm
2025 Saturday 25 October 4pm to 9pm
2026 Not yet announced Not yet announced

The 2025 detail comes from the Hounslow Herald on 9 October 2025: fireworks, a funfair, stalls, arts and crafts and food, free entry, and an invitation to dress up for Diwali or Halloween. The council’s own social post followed on 19 October.

Nothing has been published for 2026. The council’s parks events page still shows only Films on the Green, which finished in July. Its main events listing returns “Sorry, no content available”. Its news feed, checked on 5 September, has nothing festive on it at all.

Last year the announcement came on 9 October, sixteen days before the event, so the first half of October is the window to watch. We will update this page when the date appears.

What has a confirmed 2026 date

Three displays within reach of Chiswick have published theirs.

Richmond Fireworks, Sunday 1 November. Irvin Leisure has confirmed the date at Richmond Athletic Ground, Twickenham Road, TW9 2SF. Gates and the funfair open at 4.30pm, with a happy hour in the ground’s bars until 5.30pm. The Richmond charity Basement Door, plus Studio K and Resolution Dance, are on the main pitch from 5.45pm, and the display, choreographed to music, starts at 7pm. It is ticketed. Irvin Leisure does not publish prices on the event page, only a Buy Tickets link, so we are not quoting a figure.

Battersea Park Fireworks, Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November. Enable, the not for profit that runs it with Wandsworth Council, has now published both nights on its information page:

Saturday 7 November Sunday 8 November
Gates open 6pm 4.30pm
Last entry 8pm 6.30pm
Fireworks (estimated) 8.30pm 7pm
Show ends 11pm 9.30pm
Headline acts Rudimental DJ, Conjunto Sabroso, Disco Ceilidh after Arcadia’s Lords of Lightning, Fearlessly Taylor

Adult tickets (16 and over) run from £10.60 on the super early bird release to £18.10 on the final release; youth tickets (5 to 15) are £11.50 and under 5s go free. Tickets are advance only, not sold at the gate, and non-refundable. The car parks close to the public at 3pm on the Saturday and 2pm on the Sunday.

Within W4 itself, the rugby club’s night on 7 November is the one display we have found.

Parking and getting there

Neither organiser publishes a parking arrangement. Irvin Leisure’s Richmond page says nothing about parking at all, and the council has published nothing at all about Hounslow Lights 2026 yet, so there is no shuttle, no car park and no road closure to report on either. Assume you are walking in from a station or a bus stop, as you did last year.

If you are driving anywhere in Chiswick around a display night, our parking page sets out the borough’s controlled parking zones, the hours they operate and what the bays cost, and the roadworks and travel page carries the closures and diversions currently in force locally.

What we will update, and when

  • Chiswick Rugby Club’s ticket prices, if the club prints them.
  • Hounslow Lights 2026 date and times. Expected early to mid October, from the council.
  • Whether Enjoy Work names a replacement event for the Chiswick Park display. Nothing since October 2024.

Correction

1 October 2026: when this page was published on 5 September it said there was no fireworks display in Chiswick and had not been one since 2024. That was wrong. Chiswick Rugby Club at Dukes Meadows ran a community fireworks night in 2025, its notice says the year before sold out, and it has listed a 2026 night for Saturday 7 November. We have corrected the headline, the summary, the graphic and the body.
