50 Top Pizza ranks Napoli on the Road number one in the world for 2026. Its Chiswick site is at 9A Devonshire Road, one of three, and all three hold a 5 rating.

A pizzeria with a Chiswick address has been ranked the best in the world.

Napoli on the Road, which has a site at 9A Devonshire Road, W4 2EU, is first in 50 Top Pizza World 2026, the ranking published by the Italian guide that has become the sector’s best known list. The business is listed simply as “London, England”.

The guide’s own release is datelined Naples, 16 September 2026, and says the result was announced “last night” at the Teatro Mercadante in Naples. Second place went to Una Pizza Napoletana in New York, third to Confine in Milan. The guide is curated by Barbara Guerra, Luciano Pignataro and Albert Sapere.

Where Chiswick fits, exactly

This matters for the framing, so it is worth being precise. Napoli on the Road is not a Chiswick-only business. Its own site lists three pizzerie:

  • 140 Wardour Street, Soho, W1F 8ZT
  • 9A Devonshire Road, Chiswick, W4 2EU
  • 12 Red Lion Street, Richmond, TW9 1RW

50 Top Pizza ranks the business, not a single branch. Its entry for Napoli on the Road gives the Soho address as the main one and lists Chiswick and Richmond underneath as other sites. The write-up then names all three together: “The locations in Chiswick, Richmond, and Soho confirm the same approach.”

So the honest version is this. The world’s top-ranked pizzeria has a branch on Devonshire Road, and the guide counts that branch as part of what it ranked.

Only three English pizzerias made the list

The world ranking runs to 100 places. Three are in England, and two of those are in London:

  • 1st: Napoli on the Road, London
  • 23rd: 50 Kalò, London
  • 74th: Stile Napoletano, Chester

50 Kalò also took the guide’s Best Fried Food award for 2026.

The wider numbers, from the guide’s release: 36 countries are represented, Italy leads with 31 entries, the United States has 22 and Brazil 6. New York has the most entries of any city, with 7, ahead of Naples with 6.

Napoli on the Road also topped 50 Top Pizza Europa 2026, where 50 Kalò in London came fourth and Stile Napoletano thirteenth.

From a three-wheeler to a world ranking

The company’s own account is that Michele Pascarella founded Napoli on the Road in 2016, starting with a three-wheel Ape Piaggio fitted with a wood-fired oven and selling at London street and farmers’ markets. It now claims four 50 Top Pizza honours: World’s No.1 for 2026, Europe’s No.1 for 2024, 2025 and 2026, Pascarella himself as Best Pizza Maker in the World in 2023, and his pizza “Ricordi d’Infanzia” as Best Pizza in the World in 2025.

On the Food Standards Agency register, all three sites hold the top hygiene score of 5. The Chiswick premises at 9A Devonshire Road was rated 5 on 2 September 2022, the Richmond site on 8 November 2024 and the Soho site on 21 March 2026.

  • Its published opening hours are Monday to Thursday 5pm to 10pm and Friday to Sunday 12pm to 10.15pm. The Soho site opens 12pm to 10.30pm daily.
